Coffee Farm Tour

Service Description

The majestic highlands of Mount Kenya provide the ideal conditions for Kenyan Arabica coffee to grow. The coffee farm tour highlights the origins of coffee and the process of picking and processing coffee. This trip will provide you with the opportunity to meet with local coffee growers, learn about the history whilst experiencing the process involved in making your own cup of coffee. This is a full day trip, it will take around 7 hours, a packed lunch and water are included in the price. Tour Highlights: • Pick up from Nairobi hotel/ residence where you will depart for your coffee tour. • Tour the farm and see how coffee is planted from the seed bed. • Learn the process involved in harvesting coffee – picking, washing and milling coffee beans. • Witness the coffee picking process (depends on the season) • Sample freshly roasted coffee. Included Excursions: • Excursion to a working coffee plantation & guided tour of the farm. Meals: • 1 Local Lunch and bottled water
